Dr. Pierre-Joseph Royer

Scientific Officer

Dr. Royer graduated with a PhD in immunology from the University of Nantes in 2006, where he developed immunotherapy strategies to treat cellular hepatocarcinoma and acute myelogenous leukemia. He continued his research in UK, studying the role of the mannose receptor in the development of allergic responses (2007-2010), and the host pathogen interactions in case of infection with Neisseria (2010-2012). He then moved to the field of transplantation at the “Institut du Thorax” in Nantes (2012-2017), to decipher the mechanisms and identify early biomarkers of chronic dysfunction after lung transplantation. Through these research activities, Pierre-Joseph Royer developed a broad experience in immunology of transplantation, cancer or infectious diseases.

He joined Xenothera in April 2017 to work as a scientific officer on the development of the low immunogenic anti-lymphocyte serum.
